Roulette Payouts & Odds

RouletteWe have analyzed the bets available at the Roulette game, let's see now the payouts on any bet, and your chances of winning.

The table below will show you the payouts for all roulettes, and the odds against winning for both the European Roulette (with one 0) and the American Roulette (with 0 and 00).

Roulette index

The difference between the odds you get paid and the odds for you to not win is the Casino profit margin, or the house edge on the game. As you can see, the odds are slightly in favor to the casino when playing with the American Roulette, having a house edge of 5.26%, while the European Roulette has only a 2.70% house edge. Though the below payout table shows the same payouts for both the American and European Roulette, the presence of the 0 and 00 assures technically the house edge. Outside bets will always lose when a 0 or 00 comes up. For inside bets there is also a house edge as you are always getting paid at 35 to 1 odds, while odds against winnings are 36 to 1 for the European Roulette or 37 to 1 for the American Roulette.

Do not confuse the house edge with the house hold (win). The house edge as proved above is just a matter of odds for the casino to win, while the house hold (win) is the amount of bets the casino takes minus the winnings paid back to players. For example, studies show that for the American Roulette the house hold (win) is around 21-30% (this is a big difference from the 5.26% house edge). Never the less, that doesn't mean you can't win more than you invest at the roulette.
